Artist Promotion Profile
Redlocz is a Hull-based recording artist, songwriter, producer, DJ, and remixer whose career spans hip-hop, reggae, dub, R&B, and Afrofusion. Starting out as the leading rapper in Xibo, one of Hull's pioneering rap groups, he went on to release music as a solo artist, front reggae bands Kingston Massive and Kingstown Allstars, and collaborate with Polish producer Gabriel to form Dubungle, a project blending dub, spoken word, and lyrical rap. He also founded the Full Flava Music world music project, bringing together artists from diverse cultural backgrounds who have made Hull their home.
A DJ since the age of 12, Redlocz credits his years behind the decks for developing his ear as a versatile multi-genre producer and remixer. His solo release, Total Konfunkzion, showcased his eclectic musical style, while his current work combines hip-hop, R&B, and Afrofusion with conscious rap, clever wordplay, and honest storytelling. Inspired by emotion rather than formula, Redlocz allows each track to evolve naturally, creating music that is authentic, soulful, and uniquely his own.
